RE: Enclosed holding tanks - how do I know if rig has them

My 07 Challenger stated in the specs that it had the Northwest Package, which after further review was wrapped under belly.

RE: Just add it to the list!!! Roof damage... help!

I agree with John b lets keep this to what the OPS problem was, and I don't remember reading anything about wal-mart in his opening statement?? I bet that you can start a Wal-mart bashing thread over in the around the campfire section.

RE: Buzzing sound from converter area

I have the same noise, so I went looking for it and it was coming from the transformer. I was satisfied and everything seems to be working good. Mystery solved for me!!

Pac Brake install

We'll I just finished the install of my Pac Brake. I am no machanic by any means but I got R done!! It took me a couple of nights and a few phone calls to the Pac Brake 800 number. I am impressed with the braking power and can't wait to tow with it. My DW was impressed that I figured it out and didn't have to spend a fortune to have someone fix my mess up!!!

RE: keystone challenger

We have just the one A/C and it seems to do the job just fine but we are up in the Pacific Northwest where we don't get the blazing heat. I think that if I was down south or in the desert I would not hasitate to add a second A/C, ours came prewired for it.

RE: length of 5th wheel

We bought out 5er and didn't realize just how big it was sitting there on the dealer's lot. When we got home we said "WOW this is long". What we did was sized ourselves right out of most of the state parks in Washington, which we really enjoyed. Get the length that is right for you and where you like to camp.

RE: New store policy at Sam’s and Wall-Mart about tires.

Our Costco said that they cannot do 5ers anymore because they don't have the facility to do them and their managment won't let them work on the 5ers in the parking lot any more, but they would sale, mount, and balance ribs for me if I brought in the rims.

RE: Connection help on a Challenger

bobnev, They are right it is for winterizing your vehicle. If you levers are like mine they were mislabeled and I had to us a sharpie to correct them. Might want to check them out to ensure they work as advertised.

RE: 2008 Dodge Ram 2500

When I bought my 07 2500 HD my salesman said that Dodge didn't sell any 2500/3500 without a tow package?? How about that a salesman didn't know what he was talking about!!!!

RE: words of caution

I did this same thing last weekend. Knocked myself to the ground. DS kept yelling at me, daddy are you all right, as I dusted myself off and noticed the blook trickeling down my forehead, yes son!! I thought to myself I won't do that again.

Water damage to insulation

So I was done getting the camper unwinterized and was heading into the house for supper, and being tired from the day I forgot to unhook the hose from the camper and the house but I did turn it off. We'll my oldest son came running in the house and said that he found the leak in the camper?? Puzzled because I had already found the leak, he said that there was water running out of the downstairs storage compartment. So it appears that my 4 yr old thought that he was going to help daddy with the camper and turned on the facuet and left it on. So I got that cleaned up, not to bad because we caught it right away, or so I thought. Today while I am at work, DW calls and said that the camper is leaking water again from underneath the camper. Yes, I forgot to check the underneath belly :-( So took out all the insulation, if you can call it that, it looked more like padding for a quilt. After all of this my question is:
Can I replace that insulation with regular house insulation like R-13 or something else? or do I have to use some sort of special insulation designed for RV's? Sorry for the long post, but we all got quite a chuckle out of this. John

RE: Pacbrake for Dodge Ram/Cedar Creek combo

John, I just installed myself a PacBrake on my 07 2500 auto. It wasn't as difficult as I thought that it was going to be. Haven't towed with it yet but that is going to change this weekend. Bought mine at Diesel Truck Resource best price around. John

RE: Dometic Remote Control

We had the same remote in a TT from Outback, and it was a piece of garbage. First the dealerhsip said that the batteries were bad, after telling them that I already changed batteries, they gave us a new remote. It worked for a little while, then quite one day. Took TT back to dealership and the swapped out the board. That remote system never worked right from day one very frustrating. I will bever buy another RV with a remote for the A/C & heat control.

In downtown Oak Harbor, yes downtown, there is a park called City Beach and it is right on the water with full hook-ups for about $20 a night. We live in Oak Harbor and go there quite often, kids love it. John

RE: No Fuss Black Tank Flush System ???

I always blow out the flush system with compressed air just to be sure when I am winterizing.
I know that now! I wish the dealership would have told me or I wish that I would have thought about that when I was winterizing last Fall/Winter. You can bet next year I will remember. John
